PERSONALITY.
Typically shy, but friendly. Natalia always makes sure to spend some time with her crew at the Luna View, the ship's version of Ten Forward. However, she always shies away and leaves after an hour. Despite her introversion, she can be a commanding force in combat, and talented at anticipating actions of both allies and enemies. On the off hours, she listens to ghost stories with her cat.
HISTORY.
Natalia was born to a classic American family, thought she was born mute, a disability that made social interactions difficult well into high school. After graduation she had a chance meeting with a Starfleet medical engineer who offered to build her a AVB, an artificial voice box to give her a voice of her own.
Natalia took this chance and finally gained the ability to speak. She followed the medical engineer to join Starfleet as a tactical officer.
Through her Starfleet career, Natalia found a new use for the AVB; she can use it as an emergency communicator under ideal conditions. Over the short years since graduation, desperate times called for desperate measures. Natalia climbed the ranks to Captain, and went on to command the Jupiter-class carrier, USS Protector, where she is aided by her senior officers Sileia, Hon B'vahl, Ten of Twelve, Risodeta and Alexander.
In her short time with Starfleet, Natalia and the Protector participated in the conflict with the Voth and later served support roles in the war with the Vadwuaar and finally participated in the Sol Defense in the Iconian War. The Protector remains on alert around Bajor and Deep Space 9 following the devastation of the station by the H'urk. With her command essentialy being a response to the Iconian War, it would only be a matter of time before she is demoted back to weapons specialist duties.
